I work across accounting, law, fraud examination and privacy, so one advisor can look at the contract, the accounts, the controls and the data together.
My qualifications cover law, accountancy, fraud examination and privacy. That means one advisor can read the contract, the ledger, the control gap and the data flow together.
With more than 12 years in risk and governance, my work spans data-privacy audits, GDPR, HIPAA and PDPA (Singapore) compliance, trade, anti-corruption and AML audits, internal and forensic audits, SOX compliance, and privacy risk and impact assessments.
That experience was built inside PwC, EY and KPMG — US GAAP, IFRS and SOX reporting — and then at Johnson Controls, first in governance, risk and compliance and later as Lead Internal Auditor for the APAC region.
Today I am Managing Partner of HST Assure Advisors, my prime focus, advising founders, boards and regulated entities on transactions, regulation, governance and privacy. I am also the Founder and a Non-Executive Director of The TaxEco, an edtech startup, and a Non-Executive Director of Peshori Consultants.
In 2026 I completed my LL.M in Business Law at the University of Mumbai, with a dissertation on crypto-asset regulation and a research project on employee monitoring and privacy. I teach and write as well: faculty for the ICAI Board of Studies, lectures for ICAI branches and universities, and published commentary in Taxsutra, Law Street India and beyond.
